Moscow pictures: the Red Square and Kremlin

Everyone who comes to Moscow starts with the Red Square and the Kremlin. Even I, despite visiting Moscow for more than 5 times, always go there. It is not a surprise, after all, it is a bustling heart of the city, and it is always full of people. And it is a beautiful place 🙂 So here are some pictures of this magnificence 🙂

Moscow pictures: Varvarka street

After you see the Red Square and the Kremlin, go to Varvarka street. You will hardly find a more historical street in Moscow than this one. Some beautiful and old churches are here, as well as chambers of the Romanovs, the Old English court, the newly set park Zaryadye and Gostiny Dvor.

Moscow pictures: Kolomenskoye

Kolomenskoye is one of my favorite places in Moscow. It is a former royal estate consisting of a huge park, historically important churches and the royal residence. The royal residence is a wooden palace and is not the original one but a recent reconstruction made strictly according to the old plans and containing some original objects. It is a magnificent palace and I strongly advise you to visit it: it is the most appropriate place to see how the Russian tsars lived. And the view is from the hills is spectacular!

Moscow pictures: Poklonnaya hill

Poklonnaya hill is one of the most famous places in Moscow. It is well known for the museum and memorials dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Moscow pictures: VDNKh

VDNKh or the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy is a place to see some architectural wonders erected during the Soviet times. Each building there is peculiar and different, as well as fountains. The fountains are a work of art! Make sure to go there when it is sunny and visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics nearby and the famous sculpture of a rocket going up.
